Family Pictures = Disaster (but not totally)

We love, love, love our photographer, Andee, that we met last year. She does an amazing job. I CANNOT believe she actually pulled off a family photo shoot with the whole Peterson family. But, seriously? 23 people, with kids outnumbering grownups? It was pure insanity.Even though my mom's face is partially covered, this is probably the best big family one. And Lauren was only halfway there with the pirate face, so that's good. And Mark kind of looks like an angel.
Troy's family won the prize for Best Idea in Theory. Seriously, Lauren was doing the pirate face the ENTIRE shoot.Mark's family won the prize for the Best Coordinating Outfits. The girls looked SO beautiful. This was the best candid shot. The grandkids all wanted to walk home with Nanna. We get the prize for Best Prop. Monkey or paci were in every picture. Andrew was NOT cooperative.Holy smokes. Lydia is so pretty. This was SO funny, trying to get all the grandkids in. Lots of red faces, lots of crying. Scotty's family won the Most Cooperative prize. How cute are they? Their kids are the good ones. ;)Katie and Ryan? Best Engagement Picture. I guess that happens when you are so young and fresh. My mom and dad could NOT be any cuter in this picture. We'll be using this for their 50th wedding anniversary, I think.

Can't...keep...up!

My mom with her NEW missionary tag. According to Delta.com, they landed in Buenos Aires this morning at 8:00 AM, so as far as we know, they have started their big adventure! Huzzah!

Andrew's new trick is to organize all the condiments in the door of the fridge. He takes them out and puts them back. He's even grouped the juices, sauces, and jars together. He's smart.

Probably the cutest brother/cousin moment ever. Andrew LOVES his cousin, Jack. He also loves reading "King Bidgood's In the Bathtub." Doesn't love sleeping in a playpen, though...

We had a fun baby shower for my good friend, Karen. She's getting a girl on or before July 14th. We're just REALLY sad they deserted for another camp. Now no one will sit by us at church. We blame Andrew. He kind of drives the Spirit away.

Top 6

1. Justin's birthday yesterday was awesome. He's great. I would make a list of all the things I like about him, but I think I can narrow it down to just one...he likes toast. That's what I like in a man.

2. We made a list of all the places in the world we want to travel...and now it's sitting on the back of the toilet for inspiration.

3. This is how we found Andrew sleeping yesterday.

4. Andrew has a friend named Taylor who he calls Tato. He's been talking about him a lot since we had Taylor over last week.

5. Andrew's New Year's resolution? Jump with enough power to get off the ground.

6. It's really hard to button your pants when you have a hurt thumb. Like, embarrassingly hard. The upside? I'm getting used to showering with a rubber glove on my hand (more lather in the shampoo, actually). And it's healing really well.

Random No-Inspiration Monday

Lauren is so funny. I can't get a normal picture of her to save my life, but she's so cute.

Andrew really wanted to go outside, but for some reason was also insisting on wearing too-small winter jammies.
I love this. We're counting down...my parents leave in like a week? How did it come so fast?

Fam Reunion

More to come on the family reunion, but for now, the pictures Justin has worked on in our new Lightroom program. Family, I promise, your kids will be represented... Discovery Gateway Museum...Andrew had a party doing the grocery shopping.
Andrew makes this face whenever anything is exciting. It's really cute.
Playing in the dirt at Papa + Nanna's house
Basically all family reunions have some version of this pic...Everyone sitting around chatting, wondering who's watching our kids.
Andrew and Kimball...Probably the cutest cousin moment ever.

So, kudos to all those moms who are coming up with fun things to do for their kiddies this summer, complete with calendars and solid learning experiences.

We'll be at the pool.
