More Utah Tourism

Justin, Andrew and I went to Temple Square on Saturday to enjoy the brisk spring weather, the beautiful flowers, and taking pictures with random wedding parties.  There were about a million brides and grooms roaming around.  Maybe someone will send us some prints. :)

Andrew LOVES his daddy.  He totally wouldn't smile with me...C'est la vie.

If you haven't been to Utah for a while, you might be missing the construction.  Here's a taste.

Good Golly, Miss Molly

Andrew and I went to Cali last week to visit the newest addition to the Peterson fam.  Little Molly is a little cutie and we had lots of fun.

Andrew and Molly

So cute!!

Abby is a good big sister!

I'm sad I didn't get any pix of Lydia or Mark and Jenny, but so goes my picture taking life.

A Few Thoughts

If I could send a message to everyone in the world today, I would only say two things:

1.  Since, like "since you've been gone," is not spelled the same as sense, like "I have no common sense."

2.  Please stop putting words on your license plates.  I feel like such an idiot when I see something like "TNGNATA" and I am trying to sound it out.  It distracts me from my driving and frustrates me that I still have no idea what TNGNATA means.

Thats all.  L8R SK8R.

I'm NOT stubborn!

So, I'm a little concerned about Andrew's independence.  Isn't it a little early?  But he tries to hold his bottle himself, tries to feed himself his cereal, and has figured out how to hit things with his toothbrush so he doesn't need help.  But, at least I know he's my child.  This kind of stubbornness MUST be hereditary, because it's pretty severe.

You'll notice I am holding the spoon, but his hand is on mine trying to guide it.

The power went out for like three minutes, and when the lights came back on, he looked like this.

Fun Weekend

We did lots of fun things this weekend, including:

Seeing Scotty, Andrea and the girls

Allie

Elena + Monkey

Papa coming to visit Andrew in his AWESOME Scout uniform (complete with orange socks)

Buying flowers for the shower and pretending Justin bought them just for me...

We threw a little baby shower for cute little Addelynn Marie on Saturday. It was a total success and she is an ADORABLE little munchkin!!

Dental Hygiene is VERY Important Around Here

So, Justin used to make fun of me when we first got married that if I wake up to go to the bathroom at night, I brush my teeth.  May as well, I figure.  Well, honey, it seems that Andrew did get at least one characteristic from me.  Today, when I was brushing my teeth, Drew kept trying to grab my toothbrush.  I gave it to him (after I was done and rinsed, of course) and for the next 15 minutes I couldn't get it away from him.

Frozen in Grand Central Station

We found this hilarious video on our friend's blog, and we thought we would share it with the rest of you. Enjoy!

Don't you hate when someone tags you and you don't realize it?

Sorry, Sarah...Apparently I wasn't paying enough attention to realize "Megan M." is me...

A-Attached or Single?
Attached

B-Best Friend?
Besides Justin?  It's hard to say, because I like so many people...I don't know if they like me as much, though, so this one makes me shy.

C-Cake or pie?
Ugh...is neither a choice?

D-Day of choice?
Sunday if it's General Conference...Pretty much any day when Justin is home.

E-Essential Item?
Arm and Hammer toothpaste.  I was skeptical at the beginning of our marriage, but I'm hooked now.

F-Favorite color?
Green

G-Gummy bears or worms?
Worms.  I like the weird feeling of pretending like it's a real worm.

H-Home town?
Bountiful

I-Favorite indulgence?
This is so embarrassing...Watching Gilmore Girls.  I love the guilty rush I get. :)

J-January or July?
July...Because it's my BIRTHDAY month.  I hope everyone remembers. :)

K-Kids?
Andrew the Poop Monster (poop monster is an appendage added today)

L-Life isn't complete without?
Working out

M-Marriage date?
August 9, 2006

N-Number of brothers and sisters?
3 brothers, 1 sister, 4 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law.

O-Oranges or Apples?
Oranges.  I hate apples.  Hate, hate, double hate.

P-Phobias?
Spilling formula, although I don't know if you can count that as a phobia...But I worry about spilliing any little bit.  Say goodbye to all your money.

Q-Quote?
I can't stand the constant nagging. I'm leaving you, Jerry. I'm leaving you - and I'm taking the monkey with me.  (If you can name this movie without googling it, I'll be very impressed)

R-Reasons to smile?
Besides the normal things, watching someone try to be cool at the gym, Homestar Runner, reading old journals, people who give themselves titles, realizing you're singing out loud to your iPod while on the treadmill...And Molly.

S-Season of choice?
I LOVE the fall, but Summer is my favorite for three reasons...1) Waterskiing, 2)my birthday and 3) Winter doesn't come next.  It's nice to have two good seasons in a row.

T-Tag 3 people:
Katie, Strongbad and Felipe.  (Yes, those last two are fictional)

U-Unknown fact about me?
I generally wake up thinking about either what I will eat that day (all of my meals) or what I'm going to do at the gym.  I'm really glad my two passions (working out and food) counter each other.  Otherwise, I'd probably weigh...more than I do.

V-Vegetable?
Mmm...Pretty much any vegetable.  Spinach, artichokes, asparagus, green beans.  All favorites.

W-Worst habit?
Not talking when I'm upset about something.  You'd never think I had a time I didn't talk, but I do...and Justin hates it.

X-Xray or Ultrasound?
Both seem to involve pain of some kind, but usually with an ultrasound (at least in my life) you get a good prize at the end.  Xrays, you just get a cast.

Y-Your favorite food?
This is a dumb question for me.  I can name things I don't like on one hand, but favorite food is like saying, "Which part of the air is your favorite?"

Z-Zodiac sign: Cancer, which I hate.  I'm supposed to be a homebody and good with money...Neither are true.

I'm SO strong!

While I go to the gym every day, my friend Cassie watches Andrew.  This act alone qualifies her for Heaven in my opinion.  She's saving my sanity.  She also takes good pictures of Andrew.  He's doing a good job lifting his head and he rolled over the other day.  I'd put the video on here, but...well, you know.

He kind of got tired here, but the picture of Lexi is stinkin' cute.

Remember When

we went to Guatemala?  That was awesome.

Notice Justin's beard.  It was awesome too.

When Andrew was more portable.

I promise, honey!!

I've had a little crisis since Andrew was born.  It's called the mop on top of my head.  I have liked the cut and color at various times since his birth, but never the two together.  Finally, today, my fantastic friend Becky colored my hair just the way I like it.  Hooray!! Justin is happy to not have to fork out any more money for my mop.  Every time I come home from getting my hair done he says, rather fearfully, "Do you like it?" and when I say, "Well..." he gets this look on his face like, "Please.  Please stop spending money," but he's always so nice to say, "I just want you to feel good about yourself."  Reason 147 why I love my husband.

Don't mind the weirdness of my neck...I don't do well taking pics of myself, so I always do it in the bathroom so I can see myself taking a picture of myself, and then I feel awkward.  Just that sentence is awkward.
