Mmmm....

I love food. This is what we ate yesterday. It was a lucky day. Fresh Peach Soup...This was DELICIOUS. And easy. Justin was slurping up the last bits with a straw. It was funny.
Beef Kabobs (sans stick) with Lemon Gremolata and Mashed Carrots - I would give this three thumbs up if I had three thumbs.

Cheddar Apple Tart - Deceivingly beautiful. This recipe was SO stinking salty that we both took a few bites and threw the rest away. If I try it again, I'm cutting out every ingredient but the apples and the cheddar. And the puff pastry, because that was good.

Vernal

We took a vacation (?) to Vernal this weekend. It was a really quick trip, but we did get to see my grandparents, a cousin, cousin's kiddies and aunt. And we stayed at the brand new Marriott...Like we were the first people to stay in the beds. I liked that idea. :) Thanks, Rick and Doris for finally giving us the motivation to get there!

Wow.

I had someone complain that I'm not posting as often as I once did. Here's why:

I decided to take a shower. Andrew decided to find the markers.

I was in the living room while Andrew was "playing quietly" in his room. Suddenly I hear this blood-curdling scream. And I come in his room thinking the ceiling is falling down. Really, he couldn't get his lion to stand up. And he was mad.So he swept them all off the stool onto the floor.I tried to soothe his OCD frustration by helping him set up the dinosaurs.Then Andrew was hungry, so I gave him some dinner. He got water with his dinner. He didn't want it, so he dumped it out on the table.He didn't want his peas either. Mind you, I'm getting a bigger belly every day and it's terribly hard to bend down and sweep up peas.

I wanted to check my email, so I brought Andrew into my room with me. After about 45 seconds, I heard, "Goodbye, paper." And found this.And then when I told him it was a bad choice to rip up all my toilet paper, he laid down on the ground and cried. Sometimes, I'm just too tired to write on the blog. But don't get me wrong. I still like Andrew.

My battery charger finally came in the mail. Didn't realize I ordered it from China... But, hooray. It's here. And here's the update:

1. I went DI shopping for Andrew a few weeks ago and got some of the best clothes. I SO love the DI for kiddie clothes. 2. My belly is rapidly expanding. These pictures are evidence of why I don't take the "bump" pictures. Mine is more like a hump. A camel hump. And before you ask, I'm only 28 weeks. And no, I'm not having twins.
3. I also chopped my hair today. And it feels.so.good.

4. We had Family Home Evening tonight for the first time in eight weeks. Justin finished his GMAT prep course. Oh, and yes, it's Tuesday, but Andrew was asleep before Justin got home from work last night. And then he was awake from 11PM to 2:30AM. Sickness strikes again, the poor buddy.
5. Andrew's picture was the only one good enough to make it to the fridge. Mine was eliminated because it was too realistic and Justin's because he didn't finish. Andrew is very proud to put things on the fridge already.

6. In other news, Justin takes the GMAT a week from tomorrow...And hopefully we'll be liberated from hours and hours of studying. I know he will do great. He's so smart and more dedicated than possibly anyone else I've ever known.

7. I leave for Idaho tomorrow to take care of my nieces and nephews while their mom and dad go on an anniversary trip...If I live through a weekend with five kids and one on the way as a single mom, I'm going to be very impressed with myself. I'm so excited to spend time with them. I've been able to see 8 of my 11 nieces and nephews this month. Just need some extra fundage to go to Texas to complete the rotation. :)

Favorites

I think it's because I know I don't have a workable camera right now, but I've noticed SO many moments this week that I wish I could document. Here are some:

1. Andrew walking around with the plunger on his head saying, "hat!" I know that's really gross, but I seriously can't stop laughing every time he does it. Brings new meaning to the word "poopy head"

2. Eating his eggs with his fingers and his toast with a fork.

3. Sitting on my neighbor's porch talking about kids spreading poop on the walls. Thanks friends who have kids even more "creative" than mine. :)

I have to say that the stage Andrew is in right now is probably my favorite so far. We just love him and have so much fun with him. He makes us laugh and I love to see all the things he is learning. This is definitely a "watershed" memory, as my SIL would say. We'll be storing away the last few weeks to reflect on when things are not as good.
