Hair: Not The Musical

I am admitting defeat. I cannot control these locks. The only thing more stubborn than Andrew's hair is Andrew himself. He's still not walking, although I often catch him standing by himself. As soon as I look at him, though, he sits down. Whatever. We learned some time ago that Andrew is his own man with his own schedule.

I forgot to contribute my opinion of the fog:

I think it's weird.

Megan as a Super Hero

Megan will never admit it to anyone, but she secretly wants to be Sydney Bristow from Alias. Then again, who doesn't want to be Sydney Bristow? Heck, I would like to be a double agent. That girl has more moves and cool gadgets then MacGyver ever had.

Megan has been trying for months to get me to watch Alias. I have done well in avoiding every opportunity she has had to get me to watch it. However, it was Megan’s turn to plan our date night at few days ago, which means I have to do whatever she wants to do. Well, she chose popcorn and a movie - ALIAS. I don’t want to admit it, but I am TOTALLY addicted!

Speaking of Alias, look at those arms that Jennifer Garner has! She is one tough girl. If any of you want those arms, Megan has passed her personal trainer test. So, she can put you on a personal fitness program and help you get those arms.

Let's all give a shout-out to Megan for passing her personal trainer exam! She is officially the only person in Utah County that is licensed as an English teacher and Personal Trainer.

Seriously?

*DISCLAIMER* I'm not in any way complaining about my medical situation...I'm sincerely confused. Parentheses and astericks added for emphasis

So, I'm at the neurologist (again) yesterday, and Doctor says, (after I've spent $50 on *new* medication that DOESN'T work) "I think we need to try some different avenues. Here's (another) prescription (which is actually a referral) for a physical therapist (not covered by my insurance) and I'll need to take *a little* blood to test for some vitamin deficiencies."

So, basically what you're saying is, YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S WRONG.

Fine, I say. Take my blood. Take whatever you want. Money, property, firstborn child. Whatever.

So I go into the lab area, and Little Miss Phlebotomist pulls out SIX vials. And puts MY name on them. Hold it, sister. You SERIOUSLY want me to fill SIX vials with blood? WHAT ARE YOU TESTING FOR? And so, here I am today, blood deficient, with no solution for my migraines. And sincerely confused about modern medical practice.

Old Habits Die Hard + New Toy

In case you were wondering about the status of the drawer fixation, it's not going well. I love the NAUGHTY on this kid's face.
We're LOVIN' the washable TaDoodles for the tub! Andrew's finally learning to color and he's excited that he's not getting in trouble for drawing on the walls. Thanks Mom. (I tried to catch as little bum as possible in the pic)

Foodie

Yum. Dinner for a week. Thanks for teaching me how to make these, H' Tucker!!

Sunshine

Thanks to all those who made it possible (R&D) for us to escape this winter "wonderland" and pay a visit to some best friends in AZ last weekend. A true delight. As you can tell, on this vacation, Andrew chose a favorite parent. It wasn't me. And the carousel was only a barrier between him and Daddy. Do you see the longing in his eyes? He's looking for Dad.
You'll notice an absence of coats...A January picnic at the train park is my way of having fun.Lovin' the glasses.Riding the train at the train park in Scottsdale is one of Justin's fondest childhood memories. This was his facial pretty much the whole time. Andrew liked it too.Jacki, Jeff and little Miss Maddie were our wonderful hosts. We LOVE them!!

Jacks, Eva and myself...I ADORE these G's!

A Plug + An Answer

Once more, I want to advertise for Sunflower Farmers Market...If you have one near you, it is SO WORTH IT!! ALL of this cost me $25. Including the overpriced but so delicious OJ

Secondly, I used to wonder what I was going to do all day when I was a "full-time" mom and not working. Now I know.

I put everything back in this drawer at least seven times a day.

And if I'm not watching him every second, this is typically Andrew's FAVORITE playplace.

A Catalog of Tricks

I don't know how, but we got Andrew to do almost all of his tricks on one video (saying no, finding the nose, saying bye). We try to teach him a new trick every day to make up for the totally stubborn non-walking persona he's developed. Sorry about the length of the video, but Andrew totally cracks us up. We can't get enough of his little individualistic self.
