Sorry, the $1.00 is officially claimed. Jacki won. Good on ya, mate. :)
And, I didn't actually BUY pink goggles for Andrew. Someone left them at our house (I think our house in Pleasant Grove) and Andrew loves them. So if anyone's little girl is missing their goggles, we'll give them back .

The garden and the gardener
Andrew is pretty serious about taking care of his plants.
The watering of the garden is particularly intense. We must wear safety goggles.
Our bush gets watered very well. Mostly because you'll notice the fence behind also gets a good soak. Andrew tries to write his name in water, but he can't write his name on paper yet, so...
And this is to show you my SHINY face...It was 85 degrees the day before Thanksgiving. I love Texas.

Our 1-year-old
Some things about our favorite Henry...
1. He has no teeth.
2. He is sleeping through the night...And yeah, that's a new development.
3. He LOVES to wrestle with Andrew.
4. He never lost his hair, but it has gotten much lighter since birth.
5. He loves to talk, but the only person he calls by name is Da-da and Papa. Everyone else is just acknowledged by a random sound.
6. He loves cars.
7. He started crawling at 5 1/2 months, but is still not walking. He does a fantastic Mowgli walk though.
8. He MIGHT have a little recessive shy gene in him. It's cute, he sometimes ducks his head when people talk to him. Not something we've experienced before.
9. He wants to eat big kid food so badly that he just kind of hovers around Andrew's table and then gnaws on whatever leftovers he can find.
10. He loves being outside, and we can't leave the door open for very long or he scampers out to the garden to eat dirt and play with his plants.

It was the MOST fun...
If you can name that movie (Molly can't participate), I'll give you $1.00 next time I see you.
So, we had a great Thanksgiving/Henry's birthday...
(isn't that cute that they all wore the same shirt? Not planned.)

Unlikely Events
I never thought I'd live to see the day that I had a successful sewing project...But, after a couple hours yesterday and about 20 minutes this morning, I did it.Yes, it's true. I sewed aprons for all our little preschool friends. And they were DARLING. It helps to have the cutest models in the "whole wide world" as Andrew would say. :)
We had a very fun preschool class today, and every time I get to teach, it makes me MISS teaching. Like in a big way. I realize I taught middle school, which isn't quite the same as preschool, but I just miss it. Another thing I didn't see coming.
Another unlikely event...Justin had a day off. We went to the children's museum in Waco and the boys loved it even MORE than the last time we went. And that's it for pictures lately...But stay tuned for some awesomely cheesy birthday posts for Henry and Andrew...I want to fit in with the blog crowd, so maybe I will make a list of three things I like about Andrew and one thing I like about Henry. There's got to be at least one. ;)

3 Year Old Logic
Andrew's mind is an amazing thing. We had a very serious family conversation the other night. We were talking about family goals, and Andrew's answers were so great.
1. What do you want to become? "Go to school like Dad."
2. What do you want to do? "You be a mommy and Dad be a daddy and I be an Andrew."
...So far so good...
3. What do you want to achieve? "Hot dog. I can be a hot dog Andrew, and you be a hot dog mommy and you be a hot dog daddy."
4. What places do you want to visit or live? "Children's museum and the dinosaur museum."
5. What things do you want to have? "Sailboat and a hot dog."
...Starting to see a pattern...
6. What people do you want to meet? "London. And hot dog."
We also talked about making good choices and how Andrew can help have a happy family. I said, "Maybe you can help by being nice to Henry." He said, "I will be nice to the golden key."
No idea.

Dumbest Holiday EVER
Okay, I know I am totally going to offend people for stating this opinion, but it's my blog.
I'm just going to come out and say it. Halloween is SUPER dumb.
Reason 1: I can buy my own dang candy. And if I do, I don't have to take those crappy DOTS that NOBODY wants. I can go straight to the chocolate.
Reason 2: I HATE paying for costumes that my kids don't want to wear and taking them to things they don't want to go to and eating things I don't want to eat and I definitely don't want my kids to eat.
Reason 3: Any idea about what we're actually celebrating? Paganism, anyone?
That said, I'm a mom, and I have the social obligation to be SO excited to dress up my kids and parade them around and take pictures of them trying to rip parts of their costumes off.
