Tagged?

So, I was just reading Brittney's blog and I realize she tagged me about three months ago. At the time, I didn't know what that meant, so I pretended I didn't see it. Now I know. So, I will do my duty and tell you six things not commonly known about me. This is hard, because I have a big mouth and pretty much tell people everything they ever wanted to know and more within the first thirty six hours of knowing me. But, here it goes.

1. When Justin is gone at work, I wear a sweater around the house. It's not just any sweater. It is my Grandpa Peterson's sweater that my dad kept in his closet but never wore. I inherited it in eighth grade and since then have sporadically worn it. Now, I wear it every day, but carefully place it in its spot in our closet about thirty minutes before Justin comes home. It's really not very flattering on me, but I love it.

2. My elbows are crooked. When I straighten my arms, they look slightly deformed because...well, I don't actually know why or how to explain it, but they're just crooked.

3. I hate winter. I may have made this known to anyone who has crossed my path in the last four months, but really, I'm just about at my wit's end. I found it a cruel joke that I went to Minnesota on my mission. I loved the people, but seriously wouldn't have minded serving in their countries of origin rather than the frozen tundra. Why do we still live here if I hate it so much, you ask? I have no idea. I spend much of my day thinking of devious tricks to get Justin to move.

4. I really dislike money. In a perfect world, we'd all function without money. Everything about it seems stressful. I told Justin the other day that the good thing is that when you don't have something you don't have to worry about it. Like, if you don't own a car, you don't have to worry about it getting in a crash or breaking down. Maybe it could work the same way with money. If you don't have any, you don't have to worry about it running out.

5. My brother Troy and I have plans to do two things in life: start a line of jeans for people with big butts and pass some legislation that gives rights to the left handed people of the world. Have you ever tried to use a stylus on a credit card machine that's hooked to the left side? Ugh. Or tried to fit your BIG butt into some jeans designed for a little tater tot like Justin? The day Justin put on my jeans accidentally was the day I decided to speed up the process designing some pants to actually fit my waist AND butt.

6. Outside our door last night, something sketchy occurred. I think it was a bird homicide. I'm not sure of the details, but there's feathers all over our door mat. And I'm not cleaning it up, either. I'm going to wait for Justin to get home. I don't want to be involved in a crime scene.

Finally!!

I got a haircut.  I don't even need to post before pictures because I've had the same haircut for ten years.   No joke.  Don't mind my head looking abnormally large.

By the way, Andrew is a sport.  He likes me so much that he doesn't want to sit by himself anymore.  He makes me feel loved.  And he has a really cute back of the head.

Finally...Success!!

So, many of you know that Justin doesn't like sweets.  Well, this has been a difficult thing for me because I kind of do like them.  I've been editing this cookbook for a friend and simultaneously going crazy looking at the pictures of all the yummy desserts.  I finally allowed myself to buy the ingredients for one of the recipes, and it turns out that Justin LIKED them!!  He even helped me make them, which is a big deal for him to be in the kitchen when I'm making treats.  He doesn't even like the SMELL of them if you can believe it.  So, here are the bundles of joy.  They're called Lemon Sugar Cookies.  And yes, they are as good as they sound.

P.S.  I'm going to stop blogging about dumb things.  I'm clearly a very exciting person.

Aunt Katie's Package

Katie is a really good package sender.  I learned that on my mission.  She always sends awesome stuff and the accompanying notes are always very entertaining as well.  So, thanks to Team Bessey for the fine package.  Here are the items being put to use.

I'm sad you can't appreciate what Andrew is holding.  It's octopus.  In a can.  That's right.  We figured "using it appropriately" means giving it to our baby.

Katie also has a knack for finding funny onesies.  Notice there's already a stain...That's my fault.  I made delicious tacos for dinner, but Andrew wanted to eat at the same time as dinner.  Multitasking is really not working so well these days.

We chose not to post pictures of us dancing to James Taylor because we felt that was a little too weird.  I don't know, call me crazy.

Katie's Weekly Andrew Fix

So, Katie is really sad that she has to live ALL the way across the country.  Andrew really misses her too.  So, Kates, here you go.  All the Andrew you want.

Too Many Shots for One Day

Andrew got his two month old shots today.  He was pretty sad, but he's tough.

After Andrew's doctor appointment, I had to go to the dentist to get some cavities filled.  Ugh.  I hate going to the dentist.  I haven't had a cavity since I was eight, but I guess pregnancy did some nasty things to my teeth.  So, as you can tell, I don't do well with Novacaine.  I don't really numb very easily, so I had to get three shots on both sides.  Awesome.

I'm not faking it.  I really can't smile.  I don't normally look like this.

Andrew's Blessing

Andrew was blessed yesterday on the snowy birthday of his cousin, Lauren.  As usual, I was less than responsible at taking pictures of the event, so this is all we've got.  I guess it's okay, since Andrew didn't have a blessing outfit.  We'll just take a picture another day in a white blanket.  He'll never know. :)

Cole and Allie playing with Uncle Justin's Legos.  The Legos are what make Justin so popular.  That and his good dance moves.

Andrew and his Uncle Scotty.  Andrew is borrowing Scotty's middle name and wants to be a cowboy just like Scott.  He's even bow-legged like Scotty.

Lauren the birthday girl with her cute red shoes.
